It was another disappointment in T20 World Cup 2022 on Monday. After Namibia and Netherlands defeated the Asia Cup champions Sri Lanka and UAE respectively, Scotland beat two-time world champions by 42 runs.

It was George Munsey who led the charge with the bat for the Scotland side, spinner Mark Watt starred with the bowl in their tournament opener on Monday in Hobart. The bowler registered figures of 3/12 in his four over spell as his side defended their 1160/5 with ease.

But what caught the attention during the game was Mark Watt referring to some notes from a piece of paper. When Scotland skipper Richie Berrington was asked about what the paper read, he replied, “You’ll probably have to ask him that one. I’m not sure if it was anything to do with cricket, to be honest”.

Notably, Watt was also questioned by a lot of fans and cricket enthusiasts  on what it read to which the 26-year-old had finally opened up.

The left-arm spinner uploaded the image of the piece of paper which read, “DON’T BOWL SLOT”.

Scotland will next face Ireland in their next qualifying match on October 19 at the Bellerive Oval, Hobart, followed by a match against Zimbabwe on October 21 at the same venue.
