UP Warriorz have shattered the record for the highest-ever total in the history of the Women’s Premier League. In the ongoing WPL 2025 match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, UP posted 225/5 in their 20 overs breaking the record of 223/2 held by Delhi Capitals previously. Despite missing her hundred by just one run, opening batter Georgia Voll turned out to be a star for UP with her knock of 99* runs as the Warriorz posted a record breaking total

Batting first, UP Warriorz got a playing start as Grace Harris and Georgia Voll put up a partnership of 77 runs in 7.1 overs. Harris was the first batter to lose her wicket by a run out and went back to the pavilion after scoring 39 runs off 22 balls hitting seven fours and a six. After that, Kiran Navgire joined Voll at the crease as the duo added another 71 runs before the fall of the second wicket.

 

 

 

 

 

Georgia Voll leaves unbeaten on 99* from non-striker's end

Kiran Navgire got out after scoring a quickfire 46 runs off just 16 balls smashing two fours and five sixes. After that, Georgia Voll added another 43 runs with Chinelle Henry (19 off 15). In the final over of the innings, Voll fell short of just one run from her hundred as Sophie Ecclestone lost her wicket at the penultimate ball of the innings leaving Voll at the non-striker’s end. 

However, Up Warriorz successfully broke the record for the highest-ever total in the history of the WPL. Surpassing Delhi Capitals’ 223/2 in 2023, UP ended up posting 225 runs for the loss of five wickets in their 20 overs. Georgia Voll remained unbeaten on 99 runs off 56 balls hitting 17 fours and a six. For RCB, Georgia Wareham took two scalps while Charlie Dean put one in her bag.
