Pakistan pacer Mir Hamza bowled a stunning delivery to take down the wicket of Bangladesh’s opener Zakir Hasan on Day 5 of the second Test in Rawalpindi. On September 3, Bangladesh recorded a historic win as they took down their Pakistani counterparts by a margin of six wickets.
The Najmul Hossain Shanto-led side registered a rare Test series sweep against Pakistan. Earlier, the Najmul Hossain Shanto-led side had taken down their rivals by a margin of 10 wickets in the first Test at the same venue. On Day 5 of the game, Hamza, the Pakistani pacer bowled an off-stump length ball in the sixth over of the morning session, which pitched outside off and kept its line. The ball then went on to beat Hasan’s outside edge and ended up hitting off stump.
Zakir scored 40 runs off 39 deliveries, including three boundaries and two sixes. Following Hamza’s dismissal, Bangladesh were left at 58 runs for one wicket after 12.2 overs.
The visitors went on to register a historic win as they took down their rivals by a margin of six wickets. Earlier during the first Test, Shan Masood and Co were defeated for the first time against Bangladesh at home when they were handed a 10-wicket defeat by their counterparts.
