India's first-choice wicketkeeper in Tests, Rishabh Pant badly injured himself in a road accident on Friday (December 30) morning. With gruesome injuries in his back, leg and head, Pant is certainly out of action from international cricket for the next couple of months.

As a result, Pant is unlikely to recover from
injuries and prepare himself for the crucial four-match Border Gavaskar Trophy
against Australia in February-March 2023. This Test series will be crucial for the
