The growing popularity of Pokemon UNITE, especially in Asia, has pushed its developers to create a new tournament which will be specific to the largest continent in the world. This tournament will be called the Pokemon UNITE Asia Champions League 2023 which would include the top-performing teams across the continent. The continental contest will see major Pokemon UNITE teams lock horns for massive prize money of $30,000 USD.

What is the format for the Pokemon UNITE Asia Champions League 2023? 

The tournament will be played in two sessions - the regular season and the final round. 


Regular Season


Each match will be a BO3 series. In the first stage, teams will compete in a round-robin format with three regional leagues with five teams each. The second stage has a single elimination format, where the top two teams will proceed to the next round.


Postseason:


Like the regular season, this phase will be divided into two stages. The group stage will include a round-robin BO3 format where teams are segregated into groups with the top two teams reaching the next stage. The second and final stage will determine the winner of the tournament through a BO5 series.
