Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday, 12th January announced 16-member squad for the England Test series. While Mohammed Shami, Ishan Kishan missed a place in the squad, Prasidh Krishna, who made his debut in Test cricket against South Africa also failed to make it in the side for England Test series. The Men in Blue are set lock in a five-match Test series, starting January 25th.

Moreover, the BCCI did not open up whether the Indian pacer, Prasidh Krishna missed a place due to injury or was dropped, it was reported that the pacer sustained an injury during the Ranji Trophy match on Friday. Krishna left the field after bowling only 14.5 in the match between Karnataka and Gujarat at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

The 27-year-old limped off the field and will require reportedly four to six weeks to regain complete fitness, depending on the intensity of the injury. The Indian cricketer is currently under the care of Karnataka team physio, but if required, he could be linked up with India ‘A’ support staff as a contracted player of the BCCI.

Speaking of England Test series, the Rohit Sharma-led side will play a five-match Test series against the Three Lions. While the first Test is set to be played from January 25th to 29th in Hyderabad, followed by a match each in Vizag, Rajkot, Ranchi and Dharamsala.
