Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw, who is seen as the game's future, has garnered more attention for his personal life than for his professional accomplishments. The model and actress Nidhi Tapadia is said to have broken up with the player, who was the star of the Delhi Capitals and had a terrible IPL season in 2023.
The duo, who made their first public outing together at the IIFA Awards in the UAE, where they twinned in identical black clothes, have unfollowed one another on Instagram, igniting breakup suspicions among their followers. Prithvi and Nidhi have not yet publicly acknowledged or disputed their connection.

Before the IPL 2023 season, Prithvi Shaw and social media personality Sapna Gill and her friends got into a street brawl, which is when the news of their separation broke. Social media users were discussing the situation, and Sapna accused Prithvi of acting inappropriately with her and her companions. Prithvi refuted the accusations, saying that he had only been acting in self-defense after being harassed by several intoxicated guys.

In addition to suffering a setback in his cricket career, Prithvi Shaw, who had helped India win the Under-19 World Cup in 2018, has also been dropped from the national side due to poor form and physical difficulties. In the IPL 2023, he again had a poor showing, accumulating just 106 runs in 8 games at an average of 13.25 and a strike rate of 124.71. The Delhi Capitals, his side, also finished lowest in the standings after winning just five of its fourteen contests.
