Ahead of Paris Saint Germain's UEFA Champions League 2023-24 away fixture against AC Milan, a PSG fan was stabbed in the Navigli area of the northern Italian city. The development was confirmed by the local police to the Italian media, who revealed an unnamed French man was “seriously injured by two stab wounds in the leg” in Milan on Monday night.

The police statement further confirmed that the victim was taken to a hospital. As per the Italian daily, Corriere della Sera, the injured individual was 34 years old and his life was not in danger. The incident took place amidst clashes between the two fan groups in Navigli where supporters threw flares alongside the canal.

As per videos on social media, a massive crowd is seemingly seen running from another group of men, who were seen wearing hoods and wielding some sort of batons or clubs. Unfortunately, this is the second time an away supporter was attacked in Milan after a Newcastle United fan was stabbed in the same area ahead of a Champions League fixture.

The last time PSG and AC Milan locked horns in the Champions League, the Parisians ran riot with a 3-0 win at the Parc des Princes. Further talking about Group F, PSG is placed first on the table while Milan is last with two points. Borussia Dortmund and Newcastle United are second and third with four points each.
