Amid the rumours of Lionel Messi's Barcelona return, Paris Saint-Germain fans booed and whistled at the Argentine World Cup winner during the playing XI announcement on Sunday night. PSG suffered another home defeat in the Ligue 1 as Olympique Lyon defeated the French champions 1-0 at the Parc des Princes last night.
Lionel Messi, 35, joined French club PSG from his boyhood club Barcelona in 2021 for a two-year contract. While his contract with PSG is set to expire in the summer, the Argentine playmaker hasn't signed a contract extension with the club amid the rumours about his return to the Catalan Giants.
