The UEFA Champions League witnessed one of the most unexpected comebacks of all time on Wednesday evening at Santiago Bernabeu. The star-studded PSG side came into the second leg against Real Madrid with a 1-0 advantage and Kylian Mbappe almost put the tie to bed with a stunning goal in 39th minute. With less than one hour remaining, PSG had a 2-0 aggregate lead and the home side were on the cusp of elimination in Round of 16.

But this is when the fans witnessed an unexpected and dramatic second half where the 13-time UCL winners turned the game on its head. With the help of some outstanding performances from Luka Modric, Vinicius Junior and Co, Karim Benzema scored one of the best UCL hattricks ever to take Real Madrid through to quarter-finals.

However, after the match, PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi reportedly lost his cool at referees especially with regard to one of the incidents from where the Real Madrid onslaught started. Karim Benzema seemed to have fouled goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma in the build-up to first goal, which was undoubtedly the game-changing moment.

As the on-field referee and VAR deemed Benzema's tackle to be fair, it probably did not go down well with the PSG President. As per reports, Nasser Al-Khelaifi stormed into the referee's dressing room and broke the linesman's flag.

His outburst was stated in the referee's report, where it was mentioned that he "behaved aggressively and tried to enter the referee's dressing room. When the referee asked them to leave, the President hit a piece of the assistant's equipment, breaking it."

According to Marca, the behaviour of PSG President was recorded by an employee of Real Madrid and the club is expected to send the footage of same to UEFA for further investigation into the incident. It also stated that Al-Khelaifi shouted "I'll kill you" before police and security pulled him away.
