Peshawar Zalmi are all set to face Islamabad United in the Eliminator 2 of PSL 2024 on Saturday, March 16 at the National Stadium in Karachi. The winner of this match will setup the title clash with the Mohammad Rizwan-led side Multan Sultans, which is scheduled to take place on Monday, March 18.
Babar Azam’s Peshawar Zalmi were forced into the Eliminator 2 following a seven-wicket thrashing from Multan Sultans in the Qualifier. Islamabad United, on the other, secured a convincing victory over Rilee Rossouw’s Quetta Gladiators by 39 runs. Coming in place of in-form Colin Munro, Kiwi batter Martin Guptill scored a fluent 56 to guide Shadab Khan’s side to 176, which eventually proved sufficient to proceed further in the competition.
