The pinnacle of PUBG Mobile esports, the PMGC 2024, is set to begin in November 2024. During the PUBG Mobile World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Tencent announced the slot allocation for the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2024, whose finals will take place from December 6 to 8, 2024, at the Excel Auditorium in London, United Kingdom. The tournament will feature a prize pool of $3 million and will feature 49 teams competing in this prestigious event featuring two stages: the League Stage and Grand Finals. The host country will receive a direct slot in the Grand Finals. However, Tencent is yet to reveal the exact format and start date of the event.

As always, special invites are a hot topic among fans. This time, developers have allocated five invited slots. Indian fans are hopeful for a couple of slots for their region, as India has not participated in the PMGC since 2021, when Godlike Esports represented the country.

PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2024 will be the third international event of 2024 following the PUBG Mobile Global Cup and the recently concluded PUBG Mobile World Cup, which was won by Brazilian team Alpha7 Esports and earned an extra slot for their region in the PMGC 2024 league stage.

The PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2023 featured 50 teams competing in two stages of leagues and grand finals for the prize pool of $3,000,000. The Mongolian teams dominated the event, with IHC Esports clinching the trophy while Stalwart Esports was the runner-up of the event. The Brazilian team Alpha7 secured the third place. 

Zyol from IHC Esports was named MVP and Gunslinger won the MVP of the tournament, while FaZe’s MELA earned the Grenade Master title, and ParaJin was awarded the Field Medic.
