The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) returned to winning way s after registering two losses on the trot in the IPL 2024. The reigning champions beat Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai to end the latter’s three-match winning streak and hand them their first defeat of the season.
While it was the skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad, who took his side home after an unbeaten knock of 67 off 58 balls along with a brilliant bowling spell from Ravindra Jadeja and Tushar Deshpande. After this win, MS Dhoni shared a heartwarming moment with Afghanistan cricketer Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who is featuring for KKR in IPL 2024.
Gurbaz shared his fanboy moment with the legend and took to social media to share a picture with the great from the dressing room. Gurbaz also received a signed bat from the former CSK skipper alongside some piece of advice and words of wisdom. “Stop worrying about the past. Stop thinking about the future. Just live in the moment and be happy,” Gurbaz quoted MS Dhoni as saying in a post on X.
However, he gave a quirky take while sharing the picture on his Instagram handle. The KKR opener captioned his post, “Controlling the controllable MS”.
With a win in their last fixture, CSK took the fourth spot in the IPL 2024 points table. The Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side will now take on Mumbai Indians (MI) on Sunday, April 14 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. On the other hand, KKR, who are comfortably sitting at the second place after their first defeat of the season, will take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at their home venue at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
