South African debutant Nandre Burger's Boxing Day Test against India got off to an incredible start as he completed a crucial catch to dismiss Indian captain Rohit Sharma before taking two wickets. One of Burger's victims was his new teammate in the Indian Premier League, Yashasvi Jaiswal after the Rajasthan Royals picked the Proteas pacer in the recent IPL 2024 auction.

The Royals' X (formerly Twitter) account was quick to capture this teammate vs teammate battle and shared a hilarious post reacting to the wicket. As Burger sent out a full outswinger in the 10th over of the innings, Yashasvi Jaiswal was compelled to offer the shot which took the outside edge and went straight into the hands of the keeper Kyle Verreynne.

Reacting to this dismissal, Rajasthan Royals on X posted " kya kar raha hai yaar Burger" with a face with a cold sweat emoji. Moments later, Nandre Burger continued his dream debut as he dismissed India's number three, Shubman Gill, at a score of two runs from 12 runs.

Talking about RR's IPL 2024 auction, the 2008 champions picked several key players in Dubai. The Royals picked Rovman Powell for INR 7.4 crore and Shubham Dubey for INR 5.80 crore, their most expensive buys. Then Rajasthan made budget buys like Tom Kohler-Cadmore (INR 40 lakh), Abid Mushtaq (INR 20 lakh), and Nandre Burger (INR 50 lakh).
