India batter Prithvi Shaw has been picked by the Mumbai Cricket Association for the team's upcoming Ranji Trophy 2024 clash against West Bengal. Shaw was recently recovering from a knee injury he sustained while playing for Northamptonshire in the One-Day Cup in England. His stint in England was a highlight for the Mumbai batter amidst a turbulent 2023.

Since his injury, the opening batter missed the white-ball domestic competitions in India and was seemingly out for the red-ball domestic tournament as well. In the meantime, Shaw was recovering well at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and was also spotted batting in the nets.
Prithvi Shaw returns to Mumbai Ranji side
But as per recent developments, Prithvi Shaw has been added to the Mumbai Ranji side as per multiple reports. Sportstar reported, " Prithvi Shaw has been added to Mumbai's squad for the #RanjiTrophy game against Bengal after being cleared by NCA."
Difficult 2023 for Prithvi Shaw
Talking about 2023, Shaw could only score 106 runs in the eight innings in a dismal campaign for the Delhi Capitals. The IPL 2020 finalists only won five games and nine losses while finishing ninth on the table. However, amidst all the rumours of him being released, Delhi retained the youngster for another season. But after the IPL, Shaw returned to form in England as he had a sensational with Northamptonshire in the list-A competition. The Mumbai native scored 429 runs from just four innings.
