Trent Rockets star  Rashid Khan has been ruled out of the remainder of The Hundred 2024 after suffering a hamstring injury. The 25-year-old suffered the injury while fielding in the final over of his side's most recent clash against Southern Brave on August 10, at the Rose Bowl in Southampton.

Australia and Lancashire spin-bowling all-rounder Chris Green has been named as a replacement for the Afghanistan T20I captain, according to an ESPNCricinfo report. The Rockets can still reach the knockout as they are fifth on the table with three wins and as many losses from six games.  The  Lewis Gregory-led side will play their last two matches against Birmingham Phoenix on August 12 and Oval Invincibles on August 14.

Talking about the Rockets' last game didn't well for Rashid Khan as Southern Brave star Kieron Pollard smashed the Afghan leggie for five consecutive sixes. The Brave registered a win by two wickets and Pollard was named the Player of the Match for his 23-ball 45.

Speaking about his five sixes against Rashid, Pollard said, "Had to make a play at some point, it wasn't not an easy pitch to come in and get going straight away. Had to calculate and pick my bowler, had a better chance going into the small side (against Rashid) and luckily it came off."

"Lucky enough to play a lot against him (Rashid) he is a world-class bowler and got me out a lot of times as well. I just backed my strengths (talking about his 5 successive sixes) which is to hit straight and he bowled 3 full balls in my arc. This is one of those days I get to stay on the other side (talking about the battle with Rashid)."
