Major League Cricket (MLC), a popular Twenty20 cricket tournament in the USA, is back with its second season. The 2024 season, the second edition of the tournament, is being hosted at two venues, Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas and Church Street Park in Morrisville. MI New York, the reigning champions are aiming to defend their title in the tournament that began on July 5 and will come to an end on July 28.

Major League Cricket 2024 Format and Schedule
A total of six teams from the previous season namely, LA Knight Riders, MI New York, San Francisco Unicorns, Seattle Orcas, Texas Super Kings and Washington Freedom, are participating in the tournament, and fighting for the ultimate glory. The six teams have been slated to play 21 league-stage matches, which are to be followed by four playoff matches.
Washington Freedom have already sealed their berth in the Qualifier for MLC 2024. They will be joined by the team that finishes second on the points table by the end of the group stage. The 3rd and 4th placed teams will square off in the Eliminator. The winner of the eliminator will be up against the loser of the qualifier in the challenger and the winner of this clash will decide the second finalist of the season.
