India star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been reportedly ruled out of the third and fourth Tests against England. The hosts, who opened the series on the defeating side of the victory line, have been facing some gloomy situations at their end. The two-time WTC champions, who aimed to take down their counterparts in the Vizag Test have been hit by injuries and withdrawal of key players, including Virat Kohli and more.
In the Vizag leg of the five-match Test series, Rohit Sharma and Co. will miss several key names from their squad, including Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, and pacer Mohammed Shami. After a disappointing loss in the first of five Test matches, the Rahul Dravid-guided side will host Ben Stokes’ England team at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Vishakhapatnam.
Ravindra Jadeja ruled out of 3rd and 4th Test: Reports
The star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been reportedly ruled out of the third Test of the series. Jadeja was officially ruled out of the second match due to his hamstring injury. As per reports by Cricbuzz, Jadeja’s injury may require more time than anticipated and he could be sidelined for an extended period. Not only this, but reports also suggest that his participation in the fourth Test would solely be dependent on his recovery.
As of now, he is almost certain to miss the third Test, scheduled to be hosted in his hometown, Rajkot, from February 15 to February 19. Talking about Shami, the bowling sensation is currently undergoing ankle treatment and won’t be available for any of the clashes. Apart from this, his participation in the IPL is also in doubt.
