The moment happened during the preparations of the final post-match ceremony for the 2023 season of the tournament, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

A Twitter user posted the video of Rivaba Jadeja, one of the MLAs in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly, embracing her husband Ravindra Jadeja as everyone around them looked on. Notably, after the 34-year-old former CSK captain smashed GT fast bowler Mohit Sharma for 10 runs in the last two balls of the IPL final to achieve victory. Seeing the winning runs being scored from Jadeja, his wife was in tears while cheering for her husband and the team. The five-wicket win in the grand finale in Ahmedabad ensured that Chennai Super Kings equalled Mumbai Indians record of five IPL titles.

Earlier in the evening, at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni won the toss and chose to bowl first. His decision wasn’t ideal for the side as Gujarat Titans managed to post a massive total of 214/4 on the board, thanks to the half centuries from Wriddhiman Saha and Sai Sudharshan.

In the pursuit of a 215-run target, CSK opening pair of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway hit the ground running from the start. Their start was built upon by the likes of Shivam Dube, Ajinkya Rahane, and Ambati Rayudu, who brought Chennai to the brink of a famous win. In the end, Ravindra Jadeja finished off the final in style for his team with the bat in hand.
