The 30th Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match saw the Sunrisers Hyderabad batting lineup demolish the Royal Challengers Bengaluru bowlers at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. SRH brought up the highest team total in the history of the IPL, finishing up with 287/3, and throughout their batting innings, the social media platform , X was buzzing like no other.
After being put into bat first by Faf du Plessis, the captain of Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma started the carnage, notching up a 100-run opening stand. Although Abhishek Sharma lost his wicket to Reece Topley for 34 off 22, Travis Head kept the momentum going, bringing up his hundred in just 39 balls.
Following the dismissal of Travis Head for 102 off 41, it was Heinrich Klaasen, who took over from him, scoring fifty before he finished up with 67 off 31. Lockie Ferguson, who was on debut for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL, picked up the wickets of both Travis Head and Heinrich Klaasen, but he went for 13 runs to the over.
The finishing touches in the SRH innings came from the likes of Aiden Markram and Abdul Samad, with both of them scoring quick-fire 30s.
