Premier League club Manchester United have pulled off a sensational signing of five-time Champions League winner Casemiro on Friday late night. Former Real Madrid midfielder took to social media to bid farewell to the LaLiga giants, where he won all his five UCL trophies.
Apart from the UCL trophies, the 30-year-old Brazilian defensive midfielder had won three La Liga titles, one Copa del Rey, and three Club World Cups among other honours after joining Real Madrid in 2013 from Sao Paulo.
Ahead of finalising his deal with the English club, Casemiro took to his official Twitter handle to appreciate the Spanish giants as he hope to return to the Madrid-based club, he consider as home.
Casemiro tweeted, "I've been able to live through the most wonderful story I ever could have hoped for. One day I hope to return to the place that will always be my home. Not in a thousand lifetimes would I be able to give Real Madrid what Real Madrid have given me. ?? Forever... Hala Madrid!"
The Brazilian will join his former teammates, Cristiano Ronaldo and Raphael Varane at the Old Trafford. Meanwhile, Manchester United have lost both their opening fixtures in the Premier League 2022-23 season as they lost 1-2 to Brighton before losing 4-0 against Brentford.
