Australian cricket legend and leg spinner Shane Warne would have turned 54 today had he been alive. But unfortunately, he passed away last year on 4th March after a suffering a cardiac arrest due to Atherosclerosis while holidaying in Thailand.

Shane Warne in his international career has achieved several milestones while playing for his national side, Australia and also played as captain of Rajasthan Royals from 2008-11 in the Indian Premier League.

1. First bowler to pick 600 and 700 wickets in Test cricket

Shane Warne was the first bowler to reach the milestone of picking 600 Test wickets on 11th Aug 2005 (vs England) and also became the first bowler to pick 700 wickets in Test cricket on 26th Dec 2006 (vs England).

Warne was the highest wicket-taker in Test cricket when he ended his career in January 2007 but later M. Muralitharan surpassed Warne's record of being the highest wicket-taker in Tests on 3 December 2007.
