The Indian wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant, who is currently recovering from his life-threatening injuries following a fatal car accident, posted a video on Instagram stories, in which he was watching Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul bat in a competitive match. On August 14, Monday, the 25-year-old also revealed that he watched cricket live and in person, and loved every minute of it.

For the unversed, Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul are currently working against time in their bid to get selected in the Team India squad for the Asia Cup 2023. Both these cricketers got injured earlier in the year, which has led to a lot of uncertainty around the Indian batting order in the ODI format as the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 fast approaches.

Rishabh Pant, who is recuperating alongside Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru recently, took to his official Instagram account to post a story, in which there was a video of the aforementioned duo, playing competitive cricket for the first time in months. The Roorkee-born also tagged Iyer and Rahul in the story, captioning it, “Loved watching live cricket after long time,” followed by a heart emoji.

Talking about the current state of Team India, they lost the five match T20I series for the first time in the history of the format, when West Indies won the final match at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Lauderhill by 8 wickets. After winning the third and fourth T20I convincingly to level the series, the Men in Blue were no match for the Men in Maroon in the decider, losing the series 3-2.
