After a few disappointing performances from the Indian contingent at the Paris Olympics 2024, there still lie some hope of ray with India’s ‘Golden Boy’ Neeraj Chopra making it to final of the men’s javelin throw, while Vinesh Phogat also entered the final after beating her Cuban opponent in the semi-finals later on Tuesday, August 6.

However, as there are billions of dreams hooked on Neeraj Chopra’s performance as he defends his Olympics gold medal, which he won at the Tokyo 2020 Games, Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has his eyes set on Neeraj’s prize. Although the cricketer is currently touring Sri Lanka for the limited overs series, which is set to conclude on Wednesday, August 7 with the final ODI scheduled to be played at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, he seems to be closely following the Olympics, especially Neeraj Chopra.

The Indian keeper-batter on Wednesday, August 7 grabbed the limelight after he took to X (formerly Twitter) to offer a prize sum of INR 100089 if Neeraj Chopra wins a gold medal at the Summer Games. However, seeing this post from Pant, a few even speculated that his account has been hacked while he urges everyone to stand in support for the 26-year-old javelin thrower.

Rishabh Pant offers to pay “100089 Rupees” if Neeraj Chopra wins gold at Paris Olympics 2024

“If Neeraj chopra win a gold medal tomorrow. I will pay 100089 Rupees to lucky winner who likes the tweet and comment most. And for the rest top 10 people trying to get the atttention will get flight tickets. Let’s get support from india and outside the world for my brother,” he wrote in his post on X.

As per the tweet, Pant added that if Neeraj manages to win a gold medal at the Paris Olympics, he will be giving INR 100089 to any lucky winner who likes and comments the most on the post. Meanwhile he also offered flight tickets for the remaining top 10 users who interact on the post.

It is to be noted that Rishabh Pant, who is part of India’s ODI squad for the Sri Lanka series will feature in the third and final ODI on Wednesday, August 7, whereas Neeraj Chopra will be seen in action on Thursday, August 8 at the Stade de France in Paris for the final of men’s javelin throw, alongside Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem, and a few others.
