Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya replacing Rohit Sharma as captain of five-time IPL franchise Mumbai Indians has been the talking point ever since this move. While this broke the internet with several Indian and MI cricketers commentating on this shocking move, Mark Boucher reignited it, explaining the logic behind it.

After Mark Boucher’s viral interview revealing this decision to be purely a “cricketing one”, Sharma’s wife Ritika Sajdeh’s six-word comment has since then gone viral. The 36-year-old’s wife reacted to the podcast and wrote in the comment section stating, “So many things gone wrong with this …”

In a podcast, Mark Boucher said this to be purely cricketing one as the franchise aims to make several transitions. “I think it was purely a cricketing decision. We saw the window period to get Hardik back as a player. For me it’s a transition phase. A lot of people don’t understand in India, people get quite emotional, but you know you take the emotions away from it. I think it’s just more of a cricketing decision that was made and I do think it is going to bring the best out of Rohit as a person as a player,” he said in the podcast.

“I think it’ just more of a cricketing decision that was made and I do think it is going to bring the best out of Rohit as a person as a player. Just let him go out and enjoy and score some good runs,” Boucher further added on the Smash Sports podcast.

However, it is to be noted that Rohit Sharma hasn’t released any statement about MI’s decision to remove him from captaincy. This decision came just days after MI traded Hardik Pandya in a shocking turn of events.
