Riyan Parag, the Rajasthan Royals star, has sparked a controversy on social media after his alleged YouTube search history leak showed terms like “Ananya Pandey hot” and “Sara Ali Khan hot”, among others. The suspected leak happened just a few days after Riyan Parag played for RR in Qualifier 2 of the IPL 2024, which they lost to SRH at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
The IPL 2024 season was a rousing success for Riyan Parag with the bat, scoring 573 runs in 14 innings at an average of 52.09 and a strike rate of 149.21, which included four fifties. The changes in fortunes for the 22-year-old happened after he was promoted to the fourth spot in the batting lineup by the RR team management.

A video went viral on Monday, May 27, wherein Riyan Parag was allegedly spotted sitting in front of his PC, while in the background, his YouTube history showed a search for content like “Ananya Panday hot” and “Sara Ali Khan hot”. The youngster also searched for content in his name and “Virat Kohli”, who is his idol, but the fans noticed other things more prominently.
Moreover, Riyan Parag is never far from controversy in his young cricketing career. After rising to fame in the IPL in 2019, he was targeted by fans for his on-field antics in the past, while his indifferent social media posts always attract a lot of criticism as well.
Despite this, in the recently concluded IPL 2024 season, many commentators picked him as one of the young players to watch out for years to come. They also expect him to debut for the Indian cricket team sooner rather than later.
