Rohit Sharma-led Team India is taking on Pakistan in a crucial match of the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. While it is a do-or-die fixture for the Men in Green after they suffered a 60-run drubbing against New Zealand in Karachi, the Men in Blue on the other hand, are coming after a convincing six-wicket win in Dubai.

As the Indian cricket team took the field for the match, they were seen in full confidence, hoping to get better of their arch-rivals in the important clash. But things did not seem as the match proceeded in Dubai. While star Indian pacer Mohammed Shami was seen struggling with the physio also coming in to check on him, after a few overs, skipper Rohit Sharma looked in some discomfort.

Rohit Sharma walks off the field with hamstring issue; returns later

Although Shami’s discomfort was seen in the initial overs, Rohit Sharma is said to have encountered a hamstring pull while celebrating the wicket of Babar Azam. As the cameras zoomed in on Rohit Sharma, he was seen in some kind of discomfort. However, after the completion of the 11th over, which was bowled by Hardik Pandya, Rohit walked off the field.

With him making an exit, Shubman Gill, who is serving as his deputy, took over the reins for sometime. The 37-year-old then returned to the field in the 17th over and took his position at the first slip, hinting that the injury is not much of a concern. But the commentators, including Dinesh Karthik and others also hinted that Rohit Sharma is being troubled by some hamstring.
