India registered a comfortable win over the reigning champions, England, becoming the second most successful team in ODI World Cup history after five-time champions in Australia. The side being invited to bat first, posted 229 on the board on the back of a brilliant knock from skipper Rohit Sharma.

Indian pace spearhead, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Shami delivered brilliant spells, helping India to register a 100-run win to claim the top spot in the standings and also become the first team to seal the semifinals berth. While it marked their sixth straight win in the marquee tournament, it was India’s 59th win in ODI World Cup history after Australia’s 73 wins.
However, among this win, a video of Rohit Sharma getting angry on Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav is doing rounds on social media. The Indian spinner produced a brilliant delivery to dismiss Jos Buttler and later clinched the wicket of Liam Livingstone, but amid this, the skipper couldn’t control his frustration at the sole spinner.
In the 22nd over, which was bowled by Yadav, one of the deliveries in the over had the ball beat Livingstone’s bat, striking him on the pad. While the Indian team did not choose to review at that moment but when the Indian skipper saw the replays in the following over, he walked towards Kuldeep and expressed his anger for not appealing for a review.

However, former England captain Eoin Morgan, who was commentating at that moment spoke about the incident. “Just an argument between the two there. You’ve got to be careful you know. He’s the captain. He is the one who picks the team, remember”, he commented.
