Former Mumbai Indians captain Ro hit Sharma hilariously teased his former India teammate and Sunrisers Hyderabad star Mayank Agarwal ahead of the SRH vs MI IPL 2024 fixture. After a disappointing 2023 season, Agarwal was scintilating form as he scored a quick-fire 32 in 21 balls four fours and one six.
But soon young Indian speedster, Harshit Rana, produced a great bouncer reacting to which Agarwal was caught out at deep backward square leg. As the Karnataka star walked back to the dressing room, Rana gave him a send-off by blowing a kiss at him.

In the aftermath of this incident, Rana was fined 60% of the match fee for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct. Recreating this moment, Rohit Sharma was seen imitating that celebration as he met Mayank Agarwal at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Pictures of that moment have gone viral on social media.
No need for such antics for the opposition: Sunil Gavaskar
Reacting to the Harshit Rana celebration, Indian cricketing legend Sunil Gavaskar was unhappy and stated that there is no place for these antics in cricket. Speaking while commentating on the game between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders, Gavaskar said, "He should not have done that."
"Did the batsman do anything to him when he was hitting him for sixes? Cricket can be played without these antics. It's the age of television. I understand that. Celebrate with your teammates but no need for such antics for the opposition," he continued.
