As Alzarri Joseph ran out a non-striker off Phil Salt’s straight drive, Chopra asked RP Singh if he got a non-striker run out due to his straight drive. Singh’s answer surprised a lot of fans as he named Sachin Tendulkar a victim of his straight drive. The pacer revealed that he had said sorry to the Master Blaster back then. Chopra then proceeded to once again apologise to the Mumbai-born legend on his behalf via Twitter.

Reacting to this interaction, Tendulkar tweeted a hilarious reply as he stated how RP Singh has a unique ability to pick up wickets even with a bat in his hands. Sachin also wrote about how, for that instance, a straight drive wasn’t his favourite shot.

Going back to the game, Salt took responsibility for dismissing his partner as he finished the match with a score of 52 in 30 balls and carried Pretoria Capitals to a win. After a brilliant bowling display, the Capitals restricted Joburg to a score of 122. James Neesham and Anrich Nortje were among the top performers as they picked up 3 wickets each.

Then in the second innings, Will Jacks smashed 34 off just 16 balls to give the Capitals a head start. Eventually, the Wayne Parnell-led team sealed the win in 13 overs and secured the top spot in the points table with three wins and one loss in four games.
