After months of speculation, the highly anticipated boxing match involving the WBC Junior Welterweight World Champion Devin Haney defending his title against Ryan Garcia has been made official for April 20. The rising professional boxing stars were involved in an altercation live on DAZN, which led to the official X account of Golden Boy Promotions sharing the upcoming bout poster.

Initially, Ryan Garcia wasn’t interested in going head-to-head with Devin Haney, which led to him shifting his attention to a potential match with Rolly Romero. But, with their negotiations falling through, Garcia versus Haney was back on track, and now, it has been made official by Golden Boy Promotions in association with KingRy Promotions, Haney Promotions, and Matchroom Boxing.

The WBC Junior Welterweight World Championship between Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney will be shown live on DAZN with the date set for April 20. As per the report from Mike Coppinger of ESPN, the fight will be held in Las Vegas, but the venue is yet to be confirmed, which is why it could be either of the MGM Grand Garden Arena, or the T-Mobile Arena, or the Michelob Ultra Arena.

After the big announcement of his WBC title fight against Devin Haney, the American professional boxer Ryan Garcia took to his official Instagram account to share his first thoughts on it. The 25-year-old spoke about how “he is coming for everything in blood,” and asked everyone to pray for Devin Haney and his health during their upcoming match.

He wrote, “April 20th “Garciavshaney - Game 7 this one is for everything… it counts now Devin. This fight for me means everything. This is what I meant when I spoke on PBD podcast “Im coming back for everything in Blood” I ask you guys to pray for Devin and his health. Pray his dad stops this fight. He will be needed to be carried out if this fight doesn’t get stopped at the appropriate time.”

“The details are going to come soon with ticket info… Praise the Lord Jesus Christ. His name is above all. Forever and for eternity Amen,” Ryan Garcia added.
