WNBA star Sabrina Ionescu’s signature basketball shoes were stolen ahead of the New York Liberty vs Las Vegas Aces match. The Liberty guard, however, found another pair before the game. Sabrina took to Twitter to inform her followers and fans about the same. Speaking of the match, it seemed like the Liberty star took her frustration on the court and led her side with 22 points.
In a post shared on Twitter, the 25-year-old shared a picture of two pairs of Nike shoes. She informed her fans about the theft and said that she wants her custom-made insoles ‘Sabrina 1s’ back. Ionescu wrote, “Never thought I would get my shoes stolen from an opposing arena… Please just bring me my insoles back 😩RIP to my Sabrina 1s”.
Meanwhile, according to TMZ, police has started its investigation into the allegations made by the WNBA star. As per a Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept.’s spokesperson, a report was filed with the New York Star claiming that her kicks were stolen from the Michelob ULTRA Arena.
The match saw Liberty lose to Aces 88-75, which was their second consecutive loss against the Aces. Sabrina scored 3-pointers in the 11th consecutive game, which is a WNBA record. With the loss against Aces, the Liberty fell to 24-7 for the season.
