Star Pakistan opener Saim Ayub is all set to return to competitive cricket in the upcoming edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025. The young opener, who made a big impact on Pakistan’s tours of Australia, Zimbabwe and South Africa, scoring two hundreds in the ODIs, has been out since the tour of the rainbow nation after he sustained a fracture in his ankle. He sustained a fracture in his ankle while fielding on the boundary on Day 1 of the second Test, earlier this year and was then sidelined for the coming months.

The young opener further went onto miss the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 for the host country as he was sent to London for consultations, and then underwent rehab. But ahead of the premier T20 league in Pakistan, the Peshawar Zalmi have been handed a boost as Ayub is set to feature in the upcoming edition.
