Former India cricketer and Head Coach, Rahul Dravid’s son, Samit Dravid is the new sensation on the internet, hogging the limelight for some stunning knocks. In a short domestic career so far, Samit Dravid is already making headlines as he takes the crease as a right-handed batter. 

The young Indian batter, who has made a name for himself in junior cricket, once again grabbed the spotlight after he hit a massive six in the ongoing Maharaja Trophy. Samit, who is currently plying his trade for the Mysore Warriors in the Maharaja Trophy, however failed to make a mark with the bat but was the centre for hitting a stunning six. 

Featuring in Mysore Warriors’ match against Bengaluru Blasters on Friday, August 16 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Samit was dismissed for seven runs only but in the seventh over of the innings, Samit smashed a massive six between long-on and deep mid-wicket. He grabbed the limelight for timing the shot till perfection as the ball sailed into the stands, leaving his teammates in awe.

Although he smashed Bengaluru Blasters’ Naveen MG for a six, the bowler dismissed him on the very next ball with Suraj Ahuja taking a catch. It is to be noted that Samit might be young but he has already grabbed the eyeballs for his similarity like his father, Rahul Dravid. Moreover, the former India cricketer has also been actively involved in Samit’s training and cricketing journey.

Speaking of the Mysore Warriors, the team lost the match by four wickets in a rain curtailed match. With one win and one loss from to matches so far, the Mysore Warriors currently sit at the third place with two points in the six-team tournament. The Warriors will next take on Gulbarga Mystics in match number seven of the Maharaja Trophy on Sunday, August 18 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
