During the SRH inning, a brief moment occurred when RR pacer Sandeep Sharma suffered an unexpected blow. The incident took place in the seventh over when the right-arm pacer was walking back to his bowling mark after delivering a ball. As he engaged in a usual conversation with Head at that moment, Yashasvi Jaiswal, who collected the ball in the outfield, threw it towards the stumps and in this moment, hit the pacer on his chest.

However, the impact left the RR pacer in pain with the medical team running out to check on him, he was seen saying something to the India and RR opener. Although, he seemed alright as he resumed bowling. In his four-over spell, Sandeep Sharma conceded 51 runs while picking a wicket of Heinrich Klaasen.
