Rajasthan Royals’ batting star Yashasvi Jaiswal fulfilled one of his dreams after the game against Kolkata Knight Riders on April 16. After the match, the youngster got to fulfill his childhood dream and had his fanboy moment when he met the Bollywood King, Shah Rukh Khan. The guests recorded a two-wicket win over their counterparts, owing to Jos Buttler’s brilliant 107* run knock off 60 deliveries.
After the match, the RR batter got starstruck when Bollywood actor and KKR’s co-owner Khan went on the field to meet and greet the players from both camps. Meanwhile, Jaiswal expressed the desire to meet the veteran actor. In a video posted by the 2008 IPL winners, the 22-year-old could be heard saying, “Shah Rukh sir se milwao yaar.” The actor not only met the cricketer but also hugged him and clicked pictures.
The Royals accompanied the video with the caption, “bas itna sa khwab,” while the video had one of Khan’s famous dialogues playing in the background. Coming back to the game, the high-octane game saw KKR batting first and putting on a huge score of 223 runs on the board. Sunil Narine scored a memorable century and played a fierce knock of 109 runs off 56 deliveries. In the second innings, the guests failed to give themselves a memorable start and lost two Jaiswal and Sanju Samson in their powerplay.
However, Jos Buttler stood by the team’s side till and end and guided his team to the other side of the victory line with his unbeaten 107 knock.
