Some of the cricket greats are back on the field in the first edition of Legends League Cricket Masters. The ten-day long tournament kick started on March 10 (Friday) with the Gautam Gambhir-led India Maharajas locking horns against Shahid Afridi-captained Asia Lions at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha.
While the match saw some crucial moments, former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi won hearts with his brilliant on-field gesture. With Abdul Razzaq being called into the attack to bowl the 12 th over of the Maharajas inning, Gambhir got a blow on the elbow on the very first delivery as he tried to play a shot behind the stumps. However, Gambhir missed to hit the ball and got hit in this process. A concerned Shahid Afridi ran towards Gambhir to ask if he was fine.
