The Indian duo shot exceptionally well in the qualification round, with Esha scoring 290 and Narwal scoring 293. Turkey dropped to second place with an aggregate score of 581 behind India’s aggregate score of 583, which helped them win the qualification round. Iran and China combined for 580 points, but China finished third after the qualification round due to its superior "inner 10s."

With this win, Narwal took home his second medal after winning the bronze at the 10m air pistol men's team event along with Sarabjot Singh and Arjun Singh Cheema. Singh also won a gold medal in the women's team event with Shikha Narwal and Rhythm Sangwan. India is currently second on the medal table with three gold, one silver, and two bronze medals, behind China. All three men and women failed to qualify for the individual 10-meter air pistol finals, where Olympic quotas are available.

However, India's rifle shooters delivered subpar performances, failing to advance past the qualification round in the mixed team 10m air rifle competition. With a fourth-place finish, the women's skeet team failed qualification for the medals bracket.
