Former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar often finds one or the other way to make headlines or at times finds himself in the middle of the water. A month after disassociating himself from his biopic, Rawalpindi Xpress, Shoaib made exactly the same announcement on Tuesday, by releasing the same statement he had earlier released on January 21, 2023.

The 47-year-old once again reasoned that although he really wanted to do the project ‘contractual violations by the film crew and certain disagreements’ led him to terminate his agreement. The Pakistan cricketer confirmed that he would take a legal route if the makers continue to do that film and use his name or life story events in any way.

Was offered Bollywood movie: Akhtar

Akhtar recently revealed that he was offered a lead role in a Bollywood movie ‘Gangster.’ While speaking to The Tribune, Shoaib Akhtar revealed that Mahesh Bhatt approached him with the lead role in the crime-drama ‘Gangster’ but didn’t reveal why he was left out.

"Babar is not a brand"

The legendary pacer sparked massive controversy when he claimed that Pakistan skipper Babar Azam is not a brand like Virat Kohli because he does not know how to speak fluently in English.

"You can see there is no character in the team, nor do they know how to talk. How awkward it looks when they come to the presentation. How difficult is it to learn and speak English? Cricket is one job and handling media is another. If you can’t speak, I am sorry, but you won’t be able to express yourself on TV," Akhtar said.
