Bangladesh fast bowlers Shoriful Islam and Taskin Ahmed will not be available for IPL 2024. The development surfaces a day before the IPL 2024 mini-auction at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai. The auction will see a total of 333 players go under the hammer, out of which 214 are Indians and 119 are overseas.

Unlike, Shoriful Islam and Taskin Ahmed, Bangladesh's left-arm fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman will be available between March 22 and May 1 in the IPL. Last year, only one Bangladeshi player, wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das, took part in the IPL. Das played just one game for the Kolkata Knight Riders where he scored four runs.
Talking about other cricketing nations, Ireland will release Josh Little despite the national team playing a Test against Afghanistan on March 22 and a T20 World Cup preparatory series in May. An email sent by BCCI, as quoted by Sportstar, said: “Cricket Ireland have agreed that they will release Josh Little from these international matches in order for him to participate in the IPL”
