Ahead of the IPL 2024 clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, GT captain Shubman Gill showed off his love for sneakers as he brought out a special pair of Nike SBs for the toss. Gill, over the last year and a half, has emerged as the next big thing in world cricket with his magical batting abilities.
Alongside his cricketing skills, Gill has managed to stay intuned with pop culture. Shubman lent his voice to Indian Spider-Man Pavitr Prabhakar in the animated film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Similarly, he also interacted with global popstar Ed Sheeran.

Adding to this list, Shubman Gill sported the Nike SB Dunk Low Pro x Powerpuff Girls in the Bubbles colourway. The sneaker was released in December 2023 as part of a pack which included three pairs based on the three Powerpuff Girls. The pair worn by Gill had the Bubbles' inspired signature hues—Tour Yellow and University Blue. The pair originally retailed at INR 11, 895 but is recently reselling between INR 30,000 to INR 45,000.00.

Talking about the toss, Shubman Gill spoke about how his team wants to focus on one game at a time. Gill said, "The talk is to win four in four. It's important to turn up and deliver our best."
"I feel our fielding has let us down. We have had a chat about it. We need to be a better team as a fielding unit. IPL is such a long tournament. It's important to turn up on the day. We have two changes, Manav Suthar[/b] makes his debut and Josh Little comes in," he continued.
