The Rohit Sharma-led Men in Blue registered a comfortable four-wicket win over New Zealand to continue their winning streak in the ODI World Cup 2023. Team India earlier in the match invited the Tom Latham-led side to bat first with the latter putting 274-run target on the board.

While it was Mohammed Shami who starred with the ball with a fifer in his maiden game of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, Virat Kohli did the talking with the bat with his crucial 95 off 104 balls, which was well supported by Ravindra Jadeja, who scored 39 off 44 deliveries to hitting the winning runs for the side.
While India registered their first win over New Zealand in World Cup post 2003, fans on X hailed the batting stalwart and former India captain for his knock. However, King Kohli missed a century by five runs, fans called his 95-run knock no less than a century.
