Cricket has always been known as a gentlemen's game; however, there have been several instances when the ‘gentlemen’ lost their temper and engaged in verbal spats on the ground. The ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League also witnessed an altercation between the Royal Challengers Bangalore star batter Virat Kohli and the Lucknow Super Giants’ Naveen-ul-Haq during one of the games. Though it’s been quite some time since the incident, the frequent remarks and spicy gestures on social media are keeping it alive. The latest twist in the rivalry has come in the form of the famous food delivery app, Swiggy, tweeting for Kohli after he hit a ton against SunRisers Hyderabad on May 18, Thursday.

Swiggy took a jibe at the Lucknow Super Giants pacer Naveen-ul-Haq, adding amusement to the ongoing feud between him and Kohli. Recently, the Afghanistan national had seemingly mocked Royal Challengers Bangalore’s struggle through his ‘sweet mangoes’ Instagram story. However, when the India legend scored his first century for the IPL 2023 in a game against SRH, Swiggy jumped into the fray and delivered a hilarious blow to Naveen. The witty tweet by Swiggy read, “Sorry mango.. cheeku is the real King.” Notably, Cheeku is the nickname of the former India and RCB skipper, Virat Kohli.

Speaking of the game between SunRisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore played on May 18, Virat Kohli hit his first century for the season and played a sensational knock of 100 of 62 deliveries, guiding the team to a win over their rivals by eight wickets. In the last league match for the season, we will see them clashing against the reigning champions Gujarat Titans.
