The much awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 is around the corner. The hosts, Australia are looking for a Test series win against India from the last 10 years, and will be looking to finally break the streak this time down under. The first-match of the five-match series between Australia and India will be played at Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA) Stadium in Perth from November 22 to 26.

Star Australian batter Steve Smith loves to score in Test matches against India and is the highest run-scorer in BGT from the current Australian squad. Smith has played 18 matches in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy since 2013, amassing 1887 runs at an average of 65.06 with eight centuries and five fifties. He is among the consistent performers in the BGT, finishing as a highest run-getter in 2014-15 and 2017, and the second highest scorer in BGT 2020-21.
