A few of the greatest players from both these nations have set the stage alight in the BGT over the years, delivering some of their best performances in the longest format of the game.
As far as India are concerned, the likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Ravindra Jadeja have been the heart and soul for the national team in the BGT for the better part of the decade if not more. Indian captain Rohit Sharma has played 11 Tests in the BGT, scoring 650 runs in 20 innings at an average of 34.21, while bringing up one hundred and three fifties. The only three-figure score for Rohit Sharma against Australia in Test cricket came in Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) Stadium in Nagpur in the first match of the 2023 series, which India went on to win 2-1 under his leadership.
