Royal Challengers Bengaluru have formed a new look squad for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2025. After retaining just three players including the likes of Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, and Yash Dayal, RCB have made some decent buys instead of going for big names in the IPL 2025 mega auction and are hopeful to finally get their hands on the IPL title with a new-look squad.
With a strong batting lineup including the likes of Virat Kohli, Phil Salt, Tim David and Liam Livingstone, RCB have also strengthened their bowling lineup by roping in star pacers like Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood along with Yash Dayal. Now the Bengaluru-based franchise have a task to form the strongest playing XI from the squad of 22 players for the upcoming season. In the following listicle, we will have a look at RCB’s strongest playing XI for IPL 2025.
RCB Strongest Playing XI for IPL 2025
Openers: Phil Salt, Devdutt Padikkal
In the batting lineup, Phil Salt and Devdutt Padikkal will take charge as an opening pair. England’s wicketkeeper-batter Phil Salt is known for giving fiery starts and played a crucial role as an opener in Kolkata Knight Riders’ title triumph last year. He will now have a new opening partner in the form of Devdutt Padikkal, who is back at RCB after four years. Padikkal started his IPL career with RCB in 2020 and had a great outing in his first two seasons with the franchise. Now, the left-hander will be looking to have a great season with RCB again in 2025.
