According to SportsTiger sources, IPL franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad is set to go big for pacer Jaydev Unadkat in IPL 2023 mini-auctions, scheduled to take place on December 23 (Friday) in Kochi. The 31-year-old left-arm pacer is currently playing in 2nd Test against Bangladesh in Mirpur. Notably, Unadkat has been in an excellent form in domestic cricket for Saurashtra and has impressed everyone with his recent performances.

With 19 wickets in 10 games, the Saurashtra captain led his side to Vijay Hazare Trophy title. After making a Test debut in 2010, Unadkat is playing his 2nd Test in Mirpur and has so far picked 2 wickets in the game.

Talking about Jaydev Unadkat's IPL career, the veteran pacer was roped in by Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2010, and later, represented franchises like Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals as well. However, Unadkat produced a noteworthy performance for Rising Pune Supergiant in 2017, where he scalped 24 wickets in just 12 matches.

Following that performance, Unadkat hit a jackpot in the 2018 auction, when Rajasthan Royals bought him for INR 11.4 crores but could not live up to the reputation. Unadkat was part of the Mumbai Indians camp last year after being picked for INR 1.3 crores.

Meanwhile, former CSK allrounder Suresh Raina has also claimed that Jaydev Unadkat will be in huge demand during IPL 2023 mini-auctions. "Jayadev Unadkat has been in good form in the domestic cricket and also led his side to the Vijay Hazare Trophy title. He has lot of experience in the IPL, and franchises will be looking forward to rope him in," said Suresh Raina.
