Suresh Raina who is known for his aggressive and innovative batting style is back in a different role this time. The 36-year-old has opened his own restaurant in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The restaurant will flaunt all Indian flavours right from the rich spices of North India to the aromatic curries of South India, according to his Instagram post.


Diners may enjoy real Indian food that has been skillfully created by talented chefs at Raina Indian Restaurant, which offers a remarkable dining experience. The menu features a delicious assortment of dishes drawn from India's diverse culinary history, from North to South to East to West. Each serving is evidence of the quality and authenticity that Raina’s Indian Restaurant aims to provide.


The star batsman took to Instagram to announce the new chapter in his life. He posted multiple pictures of himself posing in a chef’s attire looking to serve delicacies. The restaurant is named ‘Raina: Culinary Treasures of India’ and the retired cricketer was seen posing with his trusted staff outside the restaurant. 


The former CSK batter also wrote a long, heartfelt caption along with the pictures. He wrote, “Drumroll, please! Get ready for a culinary explosion like never before! I am absolutely ecstatic to introduce Raina Indian Restaurant in Amsterdam, where my passion for food and cooking takes center stage!”

Suresh Raina is regarded as one of the best players in the IPL. Along with being a destructive batsman, he was an athletic fielder and a handy bowler. In his 13 seasons in the IPL for Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Lions, he scored 5528 runs at a strike rate of 136.76 and an average of 32.52. 


He is still the 5th most in the history of the tournament even after two seasons since he quit. He had significant contributions in CSK’s title-winning years in 2010, 2011, 2018 and 2021. With numerous records to his name, he truly was a legend in the IPL. Raina retired from the IPL in 2022, after he went unsold in the 2022 auction.
