The Men in Blue are currently in the Caribbean, playing West Indies in a multi-format series. While the Rohit Sharma-led side sealed the Test series 1-0 with the second Test ending in a draw, the three-match ODI series is currently levelled at 1-1 after the hosts beat India by six wickets on Saturday.

While there were a few names missing from the West Indies squad, India also did not field regular skipper Rohit Sharma and batting mainstay Virat Kohli in the second ODI. The side saw a batting collapse as they were bowled out for 181. However, their bowling department did justice and during the same time India’s middle-order batter Suryakumar Yadav was seen motivating Kuldeep Yadav.

As Shai Hope and Keacy Carty stitched a big partnership and India tried to break through, SKY was caught calling Kuldeep “Tu hi hai humara kachra”, terming him a character from the movie ‘Lagaan’. Kachara was also a bowler of spin and took a hat-trick of wickets in the movie.

Notably, Kuldeep Yadav finished with the figures of 1/30 in his eight-over spell with an economy of 3.80.

However, this gesture of SKY did not rest well with some fans, while a few others also shared it in a positive way.

His ODI game has not been up to the mark: Rahul Dravid on Suryakumar

While the second ODI of the three-match series did not go India’s way, head coach Rahul Dravid also spoke about Suryakumar Yadav’s low scores in the 50-over format seeing the World Cup coming ahead. The former Indian cricketer admitted that Suryakumar is aware of his numbers in ODI and has not been up to the mark. “Suryakumar is the first one to admit that his ODI game has not been up to the mark, he’s learning and we want to give him opportunities and hope he can utilize those chances.”

Talking about the next match, the Men in Blue will next face West Indies in the third and final ODI on August 1 at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad.
