Earlier, Himachal Pradesh batters - Sumeet Verma (51 off 25), Akash Vasisht (43 off 25) and Pankaj Jaiswal (27 off 16) - put the side in a commanding position. Abhishek Sharma and Sanvir Singh picked two wickets each in the game, while Baltej Singh and Harpeet Brar returned with one wicket each.
While chasing 176, Shubhman Gill scored blistering 45 in 32 balls, but lacked required support from the middle order which costed heavily to the Punjab side as they fell short by 13 runs.
